Cloud Software Engineer
Cloud software engineer with experience developing cloud native applications on Azure or AWS.
Key responsibilities
• Liaise with business application development teams on the best approach to application refactoring / new application development
• Responsible for the technical design, implementation and operations of cloud environments
• Working in conjunction with architects, product owners, systems engineers and other business stakeholders to deliver assigned project tasks.
• Work to best practices
• Implementing designs to ensure security, scalability and robustness of services across data, security and BI in particular
• Tight alignment with the Cloud Security team to ensure compliance
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Experience architecting, designing, and developing applications on AWS or Azure (Google Cloud Platform experience is also acceptable)
• Use of IaaS & PaaS, preferable PaaS services
• Strong verbal and written communication as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with customers, teammates and providers
• Experience with application security
• Experience working with DevOps tooling
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling, preferably Terraform
• Development skills in Java or .Net / .NetCore
• Ability to design for scale and resiliency
