High Tech company specializing in electro-mechanical engineered products requires an experienced C / C++ Software Engineer with a 2.i or first class degree and straight A’s at A-level. Coming from one of the worlds leading universities and a minimum 5 years commercial experience you will be joining an elite team of development engineers in providing systems level C++ software programming. This is an R&D environment so requires applicants to be good at problem solving and design.
While the core of your skills will be C++ on Linux/unix applicants will be interviewed based on excellent coding abilities. Producing sophisticated processing system the technical environment includes:
• C++ (advanced C++ language) on Qt
• Linux
• Comm protocols
Platform environments on Linux preferred. This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable C++ Engineer to join an extremely bright and creative team of Software, Hardware and Electronic Engineers. You will also work closely with R&D and be expected to add your creative skills and intellect! The C++ Engineer will have the opportunity to play with a wide range of technologies and typical duties will include:
• Design and implementation of sophisticated software
• Object oriented design
• Multi threaded architecture
• Multi-platform development on Linux / Unix
• Development of new products, algorithms and prototypes
• Systems Level development
• Data processing – adapting existing code base
• Next generation development of SW platform
