50-50 split office-based vs client meetings – some home-working would be fine, but a minimum of 1 day per week in office
Technical Support Manager for a company who deliver software and business optimisation solutions to companies across the UK.
Providing excellent end-to-end solutions, this company are at the cutting edge of technology and so require a Technical Support Manager who is able to communicate high level technical content to end customers in the South East UK.
The company product is built using the .NET framework. While the Technical Support Manager does not require a development background, it is useful to have an understanding to help communicate with end customers and design / development teams for implementation of the product.
So a background understanding technologies such as the following would be highly beneficial:
• .NET Framework
• ASP.NET Web Forms
• ASP.NET MVC
• AngularJS or similar framework
• MS SQL Server
• Distributed System
Key to the position, however, is customer / client relations skills. The ability to manage and handle the support of implementation is critical to the role. Experience in a project management capacity would also be beneficial so having a handle on:
• Project timelines and deliveries
• Budgeting and accounting (MS Excel)
• Client / customer support
